Vauxhall Corsa

Vauxhall went for the youth vote with its launch of the new Corsa hatch.

BMX riders and skateboarders leapt about the stage while the new three- and five-door supermini made its world debut at the British motor show.

On sale later this year, the Corsa will start at £7,495 and some models will be as much as £800 cheaper compared to their equivalent model from the outgoing range.

It may be small but it's one of the big cars of the British motor show.

We had to push to front of the press scrum to get a good look, but we can happily report that the new Vauxhall Corsa is a sharp looker.

Gone are the cutesy looks of the old model and in comes some sharp lines to make the new Corsa appear like a scaled-down Astra.

Longer, wider, and taller than before, the Corsa will come in three- and five-door styles.

The 1.0-, 1.2- and 1.4-litre petrol engines from the current model are carried over, along with the 1.3- and 1.7-litre turbodiesel units.
