SOUTHFIELD, Mich.-- Honda of The UK Manufacturing Limited recognized Federal-Mogul Corporation with one of four Quality Management Awards presented recently at the automaker's annual manufacturing supplier meeting in Droitwich SPA, United Kingdom. Federal-Mogul was honored for the quality of its NP2 2.0L cylinder liner produced at its plant in Sapanca, Turkey.
Judging was based on piston cylinder liners provided to Honda from April 1, 2005 to March 31, 2006. The Sapanca manufacturing plant produces piston rings, cylinder liners and ring carriers for both domestic and export use.
"Receiving the Honda Quality Management Award is an exceptional honor that recognizes the high level of our team's expertise at the Sapanca plant," said Michael Hedderich, vice president of operations, rings and liners. "We are proud to acknowledge that Sapanca's excellent quality has been recognized by this important customer."
