The
C-class was always one of the sleeker models amongst the Mercedes-Benz
range and with a fresh dose of style inputs it has only become much
more aggressive, sportier and meatier in visual appeal. The changes
however are subtle and it would take a keen eye to notice the differences
between the older car and the newly improved one. For starters the
front airdam looks even more beefed up and substantial giving the
front end a broader look at the shoulders with a new double slatted
air intake to enhance the sportiness. The aggressive stance is further
enhanced with the 7-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels shod with wider 205/55
low-profile tyres. The radiator grille too has been transformed going
down from four slats to three. The headlamps and fog lamps get the
clear lens treatment adding to visual detail. Even at the rear detailed
touches add to the visual appeal with the tail lamps now housed in
a new layout. This new high brilliance tail lamp set gels with the
improved rear bumper to create a dynamic effect that is truly worthy
of a sportily-styled saloon.
The
interiors too have not been left alone, with the centre console now
getting the same treatment as on the W211 E-class. Buyers will be
treated to a smart array of controls in the instrument cluster as
well as in the centre console. While the instrument cluster is now
bathed in white light the controls for the centre console have been
redesigned with new push-push switches. The entire centre consols
also comes decked with chrome trim strips and new olive ash wood trim.
The entire look definitely builds up to a more upmarket one.
