New gear ratios improve driveability!

This is the same 1596cc dohc 24-valve engine that does duty on the 1.6 Palios and Sienas and has been talked about aplenty beginning from the road tests of the Palios in the October 2001 issue of OVERDRIVE until the road tests of the Sienas in the previous month.

What however is different are the gear ratios which have been fine tuned to the vehicle. Thus while the new Siena sedan has overdrive on both 4th and 5th gears, the estate has overdrive only on the 5th. And compared to the Siena Weekend, the 5th gear will now have more drive while the fourth gear is slightly taller as are the third and second while the first gear is shorter.
