Fiat Palio Adventure - Chassis & Suspension

Extended wheelbase liberates valuable space inside!

Even in its earlier avatar as the Siena Weekend, the estate version had a wheelbase that was longer than that of the Siena sedan. Now the wheelbase of the Adventure at 2463mm is 40mm more than that of the Siena Weekend and 90mm more than that of the new Siena sedan.

The suspension is the same as that of the earlier Weekend and differs from the Siena sedan only at the rear where the Adventure features independent suspension with longitudinal wishbones and anti roll bar along with coil springs, like in the Palio 1.6. The added advantage of this rear layout is that it provides for a uniform rear luggage bay with minimum protrusion.
