MERCEDES
AIMED to set a new benchmark with the new E-class and boy have they
succeeded. Its much younger design with the focus on dynamics, the
W211 delivers an astounding combination of driver appeal, limousine
comfort and top flight safety. And then there's the techno overload
we have come to expect from a new Mercedes as well as the creature
comforts. We would have liked a few more options like the ride-adjustable
Airmatic air suspension, Xenon lamps (available on a Mondeo) and seats
that are fully adjustable electrically. The main drawback for large
families is the rear seat, which is now tailored for two, making three
abreast a squeeze.
But look at the E240 as a package, look at the value it delivers and
you have a winner. Priced at Rs 33.90 lakh, you would still need to
sell your house to own one. But when you consider that it's priced
virtually the same as the outgoing model, if you've got the cash,
the new E is hard to resist.

this is the single most important safety feature in India?
