Tester's Notes: Contemporary turbocharged & intercooled common rail direct injection engine will revolutionise the mid-sixed car segment• Torquey engine is a great puller and matches the performance of petrol engines of similar capacity • The only car to hit the rev limiter in the fifth (top) gear calls for a change in gear ratios or a slightly taller final drive • Efficient engine is not only extremely fuel efficient but environmentally friendly too • The Hyundai engineers finally get it right as the suspension is concerned to make it a good handler without compromising on ride quality • Could do with ABS for the same price.
