Dr. P.S. Pasricha, a Ph.D. In traffic management, has been with
the Indian Police Service since 1970. He is the recipient of the
President's Police Medal for distinguished service and Indian Police
Medal for meritorious service, both awarded by the President of
India. He is widely acknowledged as the country's loading authority
on traffic and transportation management.
He has served on various committees, both at the state and the national
level. He is a member of the All India Traffic Engineering Committee
and National Committee on the El Privatisation of Highway Construction
and Management.
He is also on the Boards of Governors
of National Safety Council, Loss Prevention Association, and Indian
Roads and Transport Development Association.
He advises several organisations on low cost methods
of solving the present day traffic and transportation problems of
major cities.
Dr. Pasricha has presented many papers at international seminars
and symposia, and has several publications to his credit.
His book "Traffic Management :
A long way to go" was acknowledged as a rare intellectual work
on the subject. He has also authored "You only live once",
a teenager's guide to road safety. On popular demand, it has been
translated into Hindi and Marathi languages as well. |
