The judging process consists of a briefing, where all the judges are provided
information on all the nominated vehicles. The vehicles then are made
available to the jury to drive and score. The process is modeled on the
'European Car of the year' judging, and is validated by Mr. Ray Hutton,
International Correspondent of OVERDRIVE magazine and Chairman of the
jury for the European Car of the Year and Mr. Adil Jal Darukhanawala,
Editor, OVERDRIVE.
The OVERDRIVE Awards are the definitive Automotive awards, as these are
the only awards, which are backed by three apex industry bodies, CII,
SIAM and ACMA and the judging process is validated by PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
The jury comprises eminent personalities and experts from the automotive
world, keeping the Awards neutral and unbiased.
Manufacturers winning awards in various categories extensively use the
award in their advertising campaigns. Past winners have included Ford
Mondeo, Maruti Alto, Bajaj Pulsar and Toyota Qualis.
