The MTV Roadies reality show and its seven stars are making news on wheels.
Everybody
wants to be a roadie. At the Pune auditions, there were already 1,400
hopefuls queueing up early in the morning. Same scene in Delhi where 4,000
people turned up for the auditions. A total of over 10,000 people auditioned
for the show. Only seven made it across. People went as far as quitting
their jobs to take part in this adventure. Crazy? Maybe, but you have
to let the spirit of adventure in you run loose sometimes.
The popular MTV Hero Honda Roadies 2 is on its way. The show where normal
people like you and me can turn into stars. Last year's Roadies show was
a huge success. This year, the roadies are travelling from Kolkata to
Wagah, along the Grand Trunk Road. The route promises to hold a lot of
exciting adventures for the seven roadies.
The lucky seven are Aarti Seth from Delhi, Ayushmann Khurrana and Candy
Brar from Chandigarh, Neha Bhatia from Pune, Shaleen Bhanot and Vinod
Rawat from aamchi Mumbai and Varun Agarwal from Kolkata.
This show is all about reality, and about how complete strangers can get
along with each other under different cirumstances. If last year's show
was anything to go by, this year's event will be even better. The most
popular roadie will walk away with Rs 5 lakh and those who complete the
show ride back home on a brand-new Hero Honda Karizma.
The Karizma is a good machine to go on long distance rides. The bike is
a great handler and its 223cc engine will help the roadies effortlessly
ride the long road. The show airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30 pm only
on MTV. So, be sure to catch the seven and their adventures. l
