C) ASSUMPTION
It’s assumed that your Carburettor doesn’t require internal
cleaning. If so, it’s best done at a good MUL/MASS which has the recommended
Cleaning Rig. See this to ensure for yourself. The present generation of
Carbs are too intricate and delicate inside to be effectively cleaned by
conventional means using solvents like thinner and assorted scrapers etc,
without damaging them once for all. This can set you back by about Rs:500/-,
including replacement of its main and aux. gaskets which are a must, as
these cannot be effectively cleaned even by the above rig without damaging
their plastics. The ‘blow-up’ illustration below will give you
an idea of the complexity of the simplest – an EU-0 – M800:

In addition to above, the Zen/M1000 and Esteem Carbs have a ‘Hot-restart’
add-on as illustrated below/tight, alongwith a ‘Throttle Dash-pot’
deployed on M1000 and Esteem only illustrated below/left –
Having thus collected so far the basic Recipe’
and the ‘Ingredients’ required, in Part-2 we shall get down
to actually ‘cooking it up’!
