LPG Advantages and pitfalls
2) The price being quoted by them appears high - may be coz of all Imports. The approved indigenous ones such as Leader Autogas etc may be substantially cheaper. 3) The price diff between a Kit for mpfi may be + 5k or so a/a Carb Cars and unless got done through the OE-Dealer, will definitely render one's Warranty a-void, closely followed by the Insurance Policy in the event of a serious mishap of any kind. 4) The payback period
for such Kits for an average Motorist is 1 to 2 yrs and that itself is
a serious drawback - besides restricting one to the Metro limits only.
The added disadvantage with LPG is that one has to cold start on petrol
and then sw over to LPG - once the engine warms up to at least the 'C'
mark. So one is likely to be consuming ~ one lr of Petrol a day in any
case too! |
