Nissan is feeling special or should we say X-tatic — and why shouldn’t it? It has announced a deal with Suzuki to make cars at Maruti’s facilities. Now the company wants you to feel special as well, with a new variant of the X-Trail, called ‘X-pecial’.
The changes are purely cosmetic with the SUV getting a huge chrome grille that gives it a prominent face but doesn’t improve on its looks; in fact the grille could be a turn-off for many. The grille also lacks badging and many might not recognise that this is actually an X-Trail or a Nissan for that matter. The front bumper comes with integrated fog lamps.
Changes to the rear include new tail-lamps, and a rear bumper guard along with a chrome exhaust. Other features include ABS with EBD and dual front and side airbags. Quality of materials used on the car remains good. This version is priced at Rs 21.50 lakh, placing it between the Comfort and Elegance versions of the X-Trail.
