4) Buying a Used Car
Buying a Used Car is more often than not, full of pit-falls unless the 'pedigree' of the Car and it's previous Owner is personally well known - along with his true reasons for selling it. Unfortunately, all this is seldom the case.

Fortunately now, one has the choice of 'Dealer Assured' kind of Deals, which come with a reasonable Warranty and a clear 'title'. If I were you, I'd go for that.

There are Pages on our Sites that not only offer 'tips' on Buying Used Cars but also give you a reasonable indication of their prevailing prices. Please Surf them and seek your answers.

5) What Price my Used Car

We have some very User-Friendly 'Buy Used Cars' Pages on our Sites.

Pl Surf them and you'll get an idea. Why I say an idea is coz buying/selling a used car is quite an USP in itself - depending on its age/condition and above all - 'supply and demand' related to its geographic 'Location'.

6) Whether a diesel Car

In general, diesel cars are more expensive to routine-service/10,000 kms coz of their shorter Service intervals and replacement fuel filters involved - compared to Mpfi/Petrol ones - not to mention periodic Fuel Injection Pumps Servicing and re-calibration which cost quite a packet.

However, 'internationally', they make up in the long run coz their average engine life expectancy is atleast twice that of 'their' Petrol eqvt 's. Regrettably, with most diesel Cars being sold here it's not true, i.e. for Indica-D, it's engine life expectancy is ~ half that of well-proven Petrol eqvts ! However, it may not so with the likes of Qualis, Accent-Crdi or Palio-D.

There are professional Road Test Reports on all such Cars posted on our Site that you should Surf, followed by meaningful Test Drives and then take your own informed decision.

To sum-up, diesels and those too with a world class engine - 'break-even' only if you do around 3000 km/pm. There's also an informative Article titled 'Fuelling a Diesel Era' posted under Industry Automobile News/More News on our Sites, which is worth going through.
