Washing
(1) Engine and under body wash. Boot to be blown dust
free and then wet mopped. Cabin/Upholstery to be ‘Vacuumed’
only prior to delivery. Engine/Gearbox Oil changes and Filter Replacements
to be carried out here, including Coolant replacement if called for.
Engine Tuning
(2) The car is next moved to Workshop area and proceeded
with Engine tuning, ensuring all Values are followed as per Manufacturers
data in respect of Plug gaps, Tappet clearances, Distributor Dwell angle
(where applicable), Ignition timing, Hot Idling RPM, A/C FICD RPM (even
in winters). Clean/ Replace Air Filter Element as warranted.
(3) To service Brakes as called for, including brake fluid
replacement if due and recorded in the job card.
(4) If Coolant has been replaced, the radiator is not
to be refilled up to the neck at this stage, but up to the ‘Core
level only - leaving the neck covered with Cap HALF CLOSED. AFTER the
exercises under point (2) above are over, the half-closed Radiator cap
is carefully opened to check and correct the Coolant level in the radiator
and Overflow bottle.
Inside Cleaning
(5) While the above are in progress, the Cabin and Boot
area to be thoroughly vacuumed, INCLUDING Glove compartment, Ash Trays
and other nooks and crevices. A/C louvers and the likes are best cleaned
with a 2” dry Paint Bush.
Door Hinges etc.
(6) Simultaneously, ALL door Hinges/Stays locks/window
mechanisms should be checked, lubricated and adjusted for their proper
working. This has to INCLUDE the Boot and Bonnet Locks. Excess lubricants
have to be wiped off. ALL electricals can also be checked and corrected
at this stage. This to include Wiper/Washer function.
