 Well,
no one has been very forthcoming as to how the front bumper and headlamp
on the Accord got kissed. That has kept Adil fuming! That apart the Accord
has not been much in use the last month. For one Adil has not been around
that long to use the Accord and neither has any body else from the edit
team been around too (not that they are gonna get it for a while). The most
that the Accord has run was on a couple of trips down to Mumbai, the most
recent one being the whole gang coming down for issue closing.
The Accord has otherwise been an excellent companion this month though we
do sorely miss the use of the CD changer which is still knocked out. We
are now trying to convince Adil to get the FM transmitter that sends signals
through his Ipod to the radio thus playing back the MP3s he’s got stacked.
The Accord is the finest tool we have for mile munching, making very short
work of the Pune-Mumbai drives. Rapid acceleration, great top speeds and
impeccable road manners no matter what the speed ensure every moment with
her is the finest. Just ask Sudheer who remains unperturbed during his deep
naps as we keep busy piloting the Accord down the expressway. And the last
service that she went through has only got her in even better tune.
Still haranguing Adil for the keys for one more jaunt since she is coming
close to the end of her tenure with us. Any chances boss?
