| The petrol version of the car sports a 1.2 L, 1197 cc K series engine which is capable of generating a peak power of 85 PS at 6000 rpm along with a peak torque of 113 Nm at 4500 rpm.
The diesel version of the Maruti Swift comes equipped with a 1.3 L, 1248 cc DDiS engine which delivers a peak power of 75 PS at 4000 rpm along with a peak torque of 190 Nm at 2000 rpm.
Both versions of the car come coupled with a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox. |
Available in both petrol and diesel, both engines are very fuel efficient. Petrol model powered by 1.2 litre K-series engine. Diesel model powered by 1248cc engine CRDi engine.
Available in seven variants - LXi, VXi, VXi Automatic, ZXi, LDi, VDi and ZDi. Option of 4-speed automatic gearbox (only in VXi variant)
The 1.2 litre K12 Petrol motors makes 86 bhp at 6000 rpm and a torque output of 114 Nm at 4000 rpm. The diesel power train has a peak power of 74 bhp at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 190 Nm at 2000 rpm. |
The petrol version delivers a superior mileage of 14.4 kmpl in the city areas and 18.1 kmpl on the highways.
The diesel version of the Swift offers a fuel economy in the range of 16.9 kmpl in the city areas and 19.6 kmpl on the highways. |
As per ARAI, the petrol version is able to deliver 19.1 kmpl of mileage.
The mileage offered by diesel variants is phenomenal at 23.4 kmpl. |
