This time, the Dzire has been driven continuously for nearly a month and a half and in this period it has put on a colossal 5000km with the odometer reading 19,061km now says the OverDrive team (March ’09). This has been a mix of city and highway driving, hard and soft bitumen, concrete, gravel, fully loaded, unladen, relaxed and some days of exuberant driving. In all of this the tyres are the only component that will need to be replaced shortly and the brakes have to be serviced. There is a small amount of fade in the brakes and it takes the ABS a little longer to activate.

The engine nevertheless ticks over smoothly, the gearbox is just as precise and smooth, the wheels are still perfectly aligned and there are still only those rattles that crept up in its initial days in our fleet says OverDrive(March ’09).
