What sets the A-star apart from other small cars is that it is fun to drive says OverDrive (May ’09). On the highway as well as city traffic – the high speed stability is good and car feels planted even at speeds up to 140kmph. In the city it is always ready to get squeezed in the tightest of spots while handling comes as a bonus while cutting thru traffic.
The interiors are good as well. The seats are comfortable and the two tone dash with dominant black over beige is slick and sporty. It all goes well while you drive alone but the moment you have friends or family there is an evident lack of space at the rear. The boot space too is limited and is made worse by the high loading hip.
On the positive side again – servicing is prompt and at its price point the A-star barely has any competition that offer the same equipment levels and most importantly safety features like ABS and airbags in a contemporary package signs off OverDrive (May ’09).
