First of all and most important,irrespective of whether you hit a pedestrian or a vehicle or a animal, you will have to report the casualty at the nearest available Police Station within 24 hours of the incident and also the Insurance Company within 7 days of the incident.

i have office in delhi if i purchase car in delhi and use it in mumbai and delhi if it is an offence as per maharastra state law as far as tax is concern . I have seen so many car registered in other state in mumbai if this is the offence how they are allowed to run car on mumbai roads

As per the Vehicle Manufacturers Specifications only 5 persons can sit in a vehicle (model wise) including the Driver.The RTO has all the rights to impose a penalty of Rs.100/ for overloading.You can drive your Delhi based car in Mumbai for a 3 months only after informing your concerned Delhi RTO and if you are going to be here for more than 3 months you have to pay the Entry Tax.If your stay is going to be more than 1 year,you need to have the vehicle registration number changed to the desired place where you will be driving the vehicle.

The changes should not in any way affect the Centre of Gravity of the vehicle.

Please let us know the Nature of your Handicap to guide you in a more proper manner.Also if you are purchasing a Automatic transmission vehicle,you are exempted for Import Duty and also excise benefits are applicable as per the rules of the manufacturer.

query :We stay at Chembur along Sion_Trombay Road.
This is a heavily populated residential area with a lot of schools and children using Sion-Trombay Road from its junction at Suman Nagar till Anushakti Nagar.
There is a very heavy traffic of Pune bound trucks/tankers etc. which heavily pollute and also is highly accident prone.
Is there any way this hevy vehicles can be diverted thru Easten Express Highway and then directly to Vashi thru the new fly overs built at Kurla, Chedda Nagar etc.
This will save many residents around here from accidents.

A very good suggestion for diverting the Traffic either through Eastern Express Highway or from the newly built Fly-overs at Kurla and Chheda Nagar.
We will take up the issue with the CP-TRAFFIC as early as possible.

1.NOC from the UP RTOto be provided by the seller.
2.Original certificate of registration from the seller alongwith the original Insurance Policy(3rd party or comprehensive)
3.Check out whether the Taxes are paid by the seller.
4.Finally at the time of registering the vehicle in Mumbai you will have to take the vehicle physically to the concerned RTO in Mumbai for inspection.Once it is thoroughly done ,you will be able to convert the same to Mumbai registration.

query :Many places in Mumbai Pay&Park boards are put up on one side of the road. The so called contractor charges you even if you park your car on other side. One example is opposite Maker chambers, Embassy centre, Nariman point.
Further if I'm charged Rs 70 per day how the contractor can the parking be at owner's risk?.
Pls do not ask me to go to BMC.

Answers : It is indeed wrong to put the Parking Sign boards in places where they are not supposed to be.
However you can park your car in places where there is a Parking Sign available.
And it is the owners risk to take care of his car as the municipality is doing its job of providing space for the parking cars.
