Dr. Pasricha Answers : Indiacar regrets the delay in answering your query.The Euro-II cars have better emission standards than the Euro-I. They emit less pollution, are more fuel effective and environment friendly.

 
M.Raguram's query :What R the cost implications of buying a 3-4 yrs old cars from other states. Does it results in One time Road tax payment again in the state of purchase? Regarding transfer of registration, is it sufficient to have a NOC from the state where the car is presently registered?
Dr. Pasricha Answers : Indiacar regrets the delay in answering your query. If you buy an old car from another state and want to run at a different state you have to pay the One Time Road Tax again. However, you will be entitled to get refund of the Road Tax already paid in the earlier state. You will be loosing some money in the process.You have to obtain NOC from your old RTO and physically produce your car alongwith the NOC to the new RTO alongwith the car documents. Then only the car will be registered.

 
naresh agarwal's query :if i have two licences in my name and i want to surrender one what should i do,what is the fine and pennalties
Dr. Pasricha Answers : Indiacar regrets the delay in answering your query. It is a serious offence to keep two driving license. I do not understand how you got it. Better to surrender one of them immediately. The offence can be that of cheating u/s. 420 IPC. There can be a punishment of imprisonment and or fine as the Court decides.

 
S.Khadanga's query :What is the procedude to transfer the registration of vehicle to other state while purchasing a vehicle which has been registered in another state?
Dr. Pasricha Answers : Indiacar regrets the delay in answering your query. You should first obtain NOC from your old RTO and check whether any offence or liabilities pending against the old vehicle. Thereafter you should approach your new RTO along with NOC, all vehicle documents, Octroi certificate and entry tax if applicable alongwith your vehicle for physical inspection. The RTO then completes the formalities normally within seven days and gives the new number.

 
Rahul Patel's query :We now have one more traffic signal at Godrej Soaps apart from two pedestrian signal crossings between Godrej and Vikhroli,on Eastern Express Highway and new flyovers doesn't make sense since traffic comes to a stop instead of flowing smoothly,since toll collection stop adds to more stoppages.

The said signal has been given to facilitate safe passage of the workers employed in the big Godrej Factory. New flyovers are constructed so that the motorist do not have to stop repeatedly.

 
bartake's query :Can the private car owners in Mumbai get their cars converted to cng? I was refused by Thane rto on the ground that they have not received official intimation from the concerned authority (?) so far for the permission. In fact there is a circular from the Union ministry of surface transport to all the regional transport ministry for allowing the use of cng in all cars. Why only taxies be permitted this facility ? Thanks.
Dr. Pasricha Answers : Any petrol car can be converted to CNG. In fact RTO encourages the idea of fitting CNG as it helps in reducing the pollution in a big way. You are very much free to have CNG fitted in your petrol vehicle.
