Thanks

Dr. Pasricha
Answers : You should go to your RTO and obtain the printed forms which will have to be signed. You will have to show the NOC from your old RTO, original registration certificate, taxation book and insurance policy. You will also have to show PUC certificate, Octroi receipt etc. If your vehicle is new ( less than 15 months in age) you will have to pay entry tax also.

HARSHA R ANGERI's
query :In recent times
there is a tendency
of traffic constables
allowing traffic to
take right turns without
going around the circle.
This is fine when there
is no traffic but people
do the same in the night
also & this leads to accidents.
Is there no law preventing this?
The very idea of having a circle is lost?
|
|
Dr. Pasricha
Answers : Normally traffic constables do not allow traffic on the right side unless an emergency situation, so demands. You should immediately inform the Traffic Chief of your city about this particular problem, indicating the exact site so that he can advise traffic cops accordingly and take necessary action if required.

query :Wishing you good health!
i intend to purchase a Maruti Second hand car whichi s about 14 years old. i heard from a friend that very soon the govt. will not permit cars older than 10 years from plying on the road. is this true? please clarify urgently.
|
|
Dr. Pasricha
Answers : On public interest litigation, Mumbai High Court had made certain observations. A committee was constituted and their reports are under consideration. It is very difficult to say what view will be taken by the Court or Government of India. However, 14 years old car is pretty old and every possibility is that vehicle may not be reregistered beyond 15 years.

SRINIVAS BHAT's
query :Hi,
This might be a strange query. I have bought a TVS Scooty from one of the local dealers 'X' in Bangalore. Now I took a loan from a finance company 'Y' for the vehicle. I have repaid and cleared the loan. The problem arised now. I was told to go to RTO and get my "Hypothecation cancellation" done. I did so. While I went back to collect my RC Book, it was held by the RTO Officials on grounds that 6 signatures of mine were forged on form 20. I had no clue of this and contacted my dealer 'X'. He put the blame on the finance company 'Y'. I spoke to 'Y' and they in turn put the responsibility on 'X'.
Finally I got my RC book after 'X' did some underhand dealings at the cost of my money. I have wasted so much time and money in this matter. Recently I received an invoice for the vehicle from 'Y' on which I found that my signature was forged once again. What is happening and do you think I should lodge a complaint on 'X' and 'Y'? If so, where should I be doing so?
Please answer.
Thanks.

|
Dr. Pasricha
Answers : If you are confident that the signatures are forged, you can lodge a formal complaint with your police station under whose jurisdiction the forms were signed.
