Answers : Indiacar regrets the dealy in replying as Dr. Pasricha was out of the town.
You do not have to re-register your vehicle since you will be keeping your vehicle only for six months in another state. However, you must inform the RTO at Banglore and pay some nominal road tax

Answers : Indiacar regrets the dealy in replying as Dr. Pasricha was out of the town. For re-registration you have to obtain NOC from your old RTO and produce your vehicle alongwith the NOC, PUC etc to your new RTO and only then shall the new RTO register your vehicle in Banglore.

Answers : It is true that the new number-plates (for private vehicles Black on White background) will be compulsory from 1st July 2002 in Maharashtra. You can obtain a copy of the notification from your RTO. The penalty will be fine upto Rs.500/-

Answers : For 2 wheeler driving licence there are 2 categories whcih are as follows:
1) For 2 wheelers having capacity of 50cc and below, one should complete minimum 16 years to apply for a 2 wheeler driving licence. The application must be signed by a Parent or the Guardian.
2) For 2 wheelers having capacity of more than 50cc, one should complete minimum 18 years to apply for a 2 wheeler driving licence.

Answers : As two wheeler driving involve a different technique, unless it is incorporated in your driving license, you are not eligible to drive a two wheeler.

Answers : If you are going to stay in Banglore for less than a year you do not have to change your number plate. However, you may have to pay some road tax for the temporary stay exceeding 3 months. Since this rule vary from state to state I advise you to get in touch with the RTO Banglore for more details.

I am being transferred to Mumbai and I have a new car which I purchased last month. I've heard that if I take the car with to Mumbai, I will have to pay a heavy amount to RTO & sales tax authorities for getting the tranfer registered. Please advise.

Answers : If your vehicle is older than 15 months you do not have to pay any entry tax. For the vehicle less than 15 months you will have to pay entry tax. You will also be required to pay octroi as well as road tax etc irrespective of the age of the vehicle.

query :I HAVE TAKEN A CAR LOAN FROM KOTAK MAHENDRA,AND PAID FULLY THE LOAN AND Ihave not received the NOC from them.
In the R/C book the endorsement is there,How can I get it cancelled from RTO.Iam residing at Bangalore,and the car registered at Bangalore RTO.

Answers : Since you have fully paid the loan amount there is no reason why the endorsement made by KMPL could not be cancelled by them. You have to obtain a certificate from KMPL for having made loan amount fully with interest and submit the same before the RTO for making necessary changes.

Answers : There is nothing like international driving license. It is only international driving permit which is granted for one year at a time. You have to be personally present in India at the time of obtaining this permit.
