| ANINDYA DEY question : Hi
I am undecided between, Hyundai i10 Era 1.1 iRDE2, Forrd Figo 1.2 Duratec Petrol LXI and Forrd Figo 1.4 diesel LXI.
My daily running would be less than 30 KM with very occasional highway trips.
Is the Figo petrol a more expensive car to maintain, what is the mileage with AC in city and highway?
Is the i10 the best overall package considering my needs.
with my low usage, will diesel figo be viable?
Regards
Anindya

| Indiacar's answer : Anindya, the ford is a technically better product as compared to the Hyundai, however, you need to consider the after sales service support for ford in your region. Considering the rising fuel prices and your daily run of appox. 30 kms/day, I would recommend you buy a diesel car. in my opinion the Beat diesel is value for money for your kind of usage supported with a friendly after sales service support.. |

| Ajay question : We are planning to buy a new car for about 14-16 lakhs. The main purpose is to have a luxurious possession. We will be using the car only for the weekends & special occasions. Please suggest us a car. Also i heard that 'honda is planning to bring out a new model for civic next year' and 'the aftersales service of skoda is not good'. Are these things true.? Also which has a bigger brand name, Honda or Skoda.? |
| Indiacar's answer : Ajay, In my view the Skoda is a better product technically. Also, presently there are issues with Honda as on date considering the conditions up in Japan. You should, considering the rising fuel prices and better engine torque, buy a diesel vehicle. The Skoda uses the Volkswagen technology and is considered among one of the best around the world. |

| RATHIN PANDYA question : hey car guru
I am having one question which is that if we use re-circulation mode in the car A/c will the outside smells will stop or it will reduce. I had visited many forums and searched owners manual but somewhere it is written that outside air is completely stopped and somewhere it is written that the outside dust, smell and air are reduced. So just tell me if use air re-circulation mode than will the outside air, dust, smells will reduce to some extent or it will stop...
thanks for your answer.. |
| Indiacar's answer : Rathin, Theoretically, in the recirculating mode the outside smells and odours are sealed. however, due to the regular use and wear & tear of linkages the recirculating flap does not close completely resulting in smells entering the car. There in some cases spring loaded flaps, where the flaps close completely. The effect of improper flap closure generally occurs in older cars. In some new generation cars, they are equipped with Dust & Pollen filters to compensate the effects of dust and odour. |

thanks for your all answer to me..... |
| Indiacar's answer : Rathin, You can upgrade the car tyres to 165, however, the aspect ratio should be 50.. Higher aspect ratio may result in fouling of the tyre on turns. |
